Homes, not just houses
Plural’s approach to designing custom homes is grounded in collaboration and creativity. We’ve worked with clients across the country on projects in a diversity of climates and with a variety of programs and constraints. We’ve designed studio spaces for recording artists and workshops for woodworkers. We’ve built on sloping sites, in tornado alley, and out in the Hill Country. In every case we understand our clients’ lifestyles, wants, and needs and consider those factors in tandem with the surrounding environment. Whether working within zoning constraints or positioning windows to maximize HVAC efficiency, we pair deep residential experience with client desires to design homes, not just houses.
Knowledgeable speculation
Our partners on custom single-family projects include both private homeowners and speculative developers. Our Willow & Cork project, a new home in Austin’s Holly neighborhood, was designed in conjunction with a local development team to target Austin’s high-end speculative market. Our team has a vast portfolio of experience that testifies to our knowledge of zoning and building codes. We’re constantly guiding projects through city and state permitting processes.
