The prompt for the creek house was to create an off-grid urban residence that has minimal reliance on the grid. A small creek runs through the middle of the propery, which results in the majority being within the 25 year flood plain.
Our approach was to create a smiple, air tight enclosure that is raise above the surrounding earth. Concrete walls support a concrete deck and wood framed roof with infill walls proposed as hempcrete.
